WHERE IT ALL BEGAN…

At the age of 13, I landed my first ever job as a Saturday Girl in my Auntie’s flower shop. I literally started from the bottom up - cleaning buckets, sweeping the floor and conditioning flowers. I still remember the excitement at the end of my shift when I was encouraged to play around with broken flower stems, channelling my creativity through flowers and igniting my passion for floral design.

After leaving school, I began working in the flower shop full time and enjoyed developing my skills in retail floristry and eventually weddings and events.

I have also explored the competitive side of floristry by taking part in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Young Florist of the Year competition in 2012 where I won my first medal, Silver-Gilt. The following year I returned and won my first Gold medal and the title of RHS Chelsea Young Florist of the Year 2013. I won my second Gold medal in 2014.

As much as I enjoyed retail floristry and as fun as the competitions were, I found that wedding floristry is what I loved the most. Over the past 18 years I have had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful couples and it is always a joy to design flowers for such a special day.

I have also been a Bride myself (yes, I did my own flowers!) so I know how overwhelming the whole wedding planning process can be, but it’s my job to help and guide you to make choosing your florals as fun and exciting as it should be.
